Quilted Stocking and Holiday Decorations!

Victoria van der Laan is 'back in the house' and we couldn't be more delighted!!! Our aim with this Quilted Stockings class is to bring a touch of festive cheer to your home this holiday season and Victoria will teach you some fabulous sewing techniques along the way!...
Introduction by Victoria:-
Hi folks! I'm Victoria van der Laan, a textile artist and quilter living and working in Albany, NY. The winter holidays are one of my favorite times of year, full of the warmth of friends, family, and, of course, stitching! What better way to make this holiday season extra special than with some home-sewn decorations to add even more beauty to your home!

What You Will Learn in this Online Interactive Workshop:-
In this workshop I will teach you how to make my Wraparound Star Christmas stocking, a minimal design that features a single sawtooth star which wraps from front to back. I'll also share my patterns and instruction for quilted ornaments/sachets in heart, star, and crescent moon shapes and we'll talk about making your own quilted fabric for these pieces as well as how to repurpose other fabrics and quilts into beautiful items for the holidays and beyond. As an added bonus I'll share my quick technique for making a fabric chain that you can drape on your tree, across your mantel, or anywhere around your home--a lovely way to use up lots of scraps and add festive cheer!
In addition to the live (and recorded) class instruction, each ticket holder will receive a pdf with templates for each of these designs that can be used over and over in lots of ways--I can't wait to see what you make with them!
As always I'm happy to answer questions as they arise and there are always little opportunities to show you extra techniques and tips during class. I love the exchange of knowledge that happens in class and I often learn new little tricks from students as well--there's always something new to learn and my goal is to create a rich learning environment in my classes!

This workshop is appropriate for quilters at any skill level - everyone is welcome!
